Tips for renting in Bordeaux
Book several days ahead, especially in wedding season (May–October) and during the Fête du Vin. The equipment pool is smaller than in Paris or Lyon, and popular models (full-frame bodies, fast lenses) go quickly.
Expect a credit-card deposit and a valid ID. For high-end kit (cinema cameras, drones, lighting rigs), a business registration or professional credential may be required.
Check the kit contents carefully: batteries, charger, memory cards and a transport case aren't always included. Rent a spare battery and an extra card if the shoot runs a full day.
For vineyard shoots, check filming permissions: some châteaux require written consent from the owner. Drones are regulated over built-up areas; reputable providers offer packages with a certified pilot and the necessary filings.
Outside peak demand, rates are often negotiable for multi-day rentals or returning clients. Don't hesitate to ask for a tailored quote.
